Edvin Sun

Mr Sun is the chief engineer at Himile, having joined Himile in 2009. Since then, he has been engaged in the research and development of new technologies used in both mold and container, including the development of new model designs and construction of molds and containers, and the development of specialized machinery. In the past 13 years, he has been awarded 110 patents (21 inventions), has been in charge of the development of four standards and has published five academic papers. Himile is on the way to leading the mold business to become a greener and more sustainable industry.

Green production and sustainability is a hot topic around the world, especially in the tire industry, and one which will have a massive influence on the environment and society. As a strategic partner for tire companies, Himile has been committed to further research and development in the green and sustainable production of its manufacturing process for molds and containers (mechanisms), such as the invention of spring vents and the application of different models of molds and containers with better performance in terms of higher efficiency and energy saving.
