Elastomer fatigue life solver brings new capabilities for modelling tire damage
Endurica

The 2022 release of the Endurica fatigue life solver brings CAE engineers a significant new capability for modeling tire damage. Practically any scenario, or combination of scenarios, that a tire might encounter in the testing lab or in the field can now be simulated.

The software supports both steady state and transient dynamic analysis steps and can include the effects of heat ageing. Both axisymmetric and tread patterned tires can be analyzed. The analysis steps can be scheduled in any order, making it possible to configure and execute analyses of many industry standard tests (SAE, FMVSS and UN ECE durability and high speed tests, for example), or of particular test track events (cleat, curb or pothole impacts). The new features offer unprecedented capabilities for tracking and visualizing the growth of cracks at all potential failure locations in a tire.

Visit our booth to find out about Endurica’s pre-prototype solutions for manufacturers seeking durability in elastomer applications. Endurica developed the world’s first numerical fatigue life solver for elastomers that accurately predicts fatigue life based on the results of Finite Element Analysis. Endurica solutions include software, characterization services, testing instruments, and training for engineers and analysts. The company was founded in 2008 and its solutions are now used by six out of the top nine global rubber product manufacturers.
