Finite element method application for tire tread pattern noise prediction
During the last years, more and more electric vehicles were introduced on the market making noise produced by tires more predominant, increasing the interest on this phenomenon. Also new European regulations have arisen to reduce tire noise. In the presentation, the entire workflow to simulate the noise produced by a truck tire in a near field indoor condition is shown by means of fem with an explicit procedure and the use of a Vibro-Acoustics Simulation Software, Abaqus & Wave6.
