Join premium tire brands on the journey to global tire data standards
GDSO

The Global Data Service Organisation for Tyres and Automotive Components (GDSO) is a new international non-profit association founded by Bridgestone, Continental, Goodyear, Michelin and Pirelli. Currently in its launch phase, the association is looking forward to welcoming new tire manufacturers as well as, in the future, other automotive suppliers.

In the framework of the automotive digital transformation, GDSO strongly believes that every vehicle component will become connected. Therefore, it wants to enable services based on a global, open, standardized and secured data platform with robust and transparent governance, thus supporting a sustainable and simplified mobility journey.

During the past six years, a taskforce within the European Tyre and Rim Technical Organisation (ETRTO) has defined the outlines of tire data standards and a global technical solution for retrieving data from participating companies, based on a unique item identifier (UII), which will open the door to new connected services for various stakeholders.

GDSO members can already benefit from a minimum viable product (MVP), offering a flavor of the innovative service value proposition: tasks solved more easily along the tire value chain, thanks to tire electronic identification and API aimed at retrieving standardized data through remote execution.
