Tread enhancement additive
Kraton - Stand C230

At the Tire Technology Conference and at its booth at the Expo, Kraton will present recent research on a new tread enhancement additive (TEA) and its effect on the performance of tire tread compounds. Sylvatraxx enables the synthesis of resins with high glass transition temperatures (Tg) and has been developed to outperform hydrocarbon TEAs with similar Tg in terms of compatibility.

Catch technical associate Jochem Vervelde’s presentation or join the company at its booth to learn about the new TEA and the use of a proprietary model blend technology to screen TEAs for compatibility with the polymer matrix, and how to link that to the performance in a filled tread compound.
