Innovative release liners
Otego

Otego has developed a high-release film liner for rubber component preparation and storage, which reportedly provides the highest release without silicone or fluor.

The company says that this liner, named 5519, brings 80% more release than existing polyester films and more resistance to abrasion than silicone-coated materials. It reportedly offers tire makers a high-quality film with contained weight and thickness, good lateral stability for all profiles requiring good tack preservation and non-stick properties to avoid quality issues during extrusion and storage.

Furthermore, the company is among the few firms offering textile liners and providing a full portfolio of liners for all stages of tire preparation.

This year, Otego is launching a high-quality textile range, designed to combine the strength of different yarn types with high release and reportedly the highest durability on the market. As a result of this unique blend, the company can provide dimensional stability and a durable surface that is less prone to creases.

The company says its Texliners 5523 and 5524 offer up to 200% more release than traditional textiles, helping with let-off, and are up to three times more durable than other textiles on the market thanks to low surface degradation.
