Look out for the latest bladder concept from Continental. The new line of C-Bladders feature an enhanced transition from crown to neck. This allows for a smoother molding of the bladder into the green tire. The improved shape also provides sufficient gauge in high-stress areas to prolong the service life of the bladder. The company claims its internal testing showed the new bladders last up to 20% longer than traditional models. In addition to the Conti bladders, Continental will also show its silicon compound-based insulation foam: Conti Thermo Protect. Uncured, the material can be molded in various shapes to adapt to pipes, hoses or valves. In this way, it can provide a reduction in heat dissipation by up to 80%, to avoid hot-spots in tire manufacturing plants.
